Churchill Downs Incorporated Announces HRM Entertainment Venue to be Built in Eastern Daviess County, Kentucky
LOUISVILLE, Ky., June 19, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Churchill Downs Incorporated (“CDI” or the “Company”) (Nasdaq: CHDN) announced that the Company has secured a site in eastern Daviess County, outside of the Owensboro city limits, to build its previously announced historical racing machine (“HRM”) entertainment venue as an annex of Ellis Park Racing & Gaming (“Ellis Park”). This new facility will support purse funding for Ellis Park race meets. The Company will provide updated development and investment plans, as well as the location of the property, in the coming months.

LOUISVILLE, Ky., May 29, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Churchill Downs Incorporated (Nasdaq: CHDN) (the “Company,” “CDI”) announced today that Sam Ullrich has been named Vice President of Investor Relations for the Company. In this role, Ullrich will be responsible for all aspects of investor relations and work closely with current and prospective shareholders and analysts. He will report to Marcia Dall, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for CDI.
Ullrich brings 15 years of financial experience with publicly traded companies to the role. Prior to joining CDI, Ullrich was the Director, Commercial and Financial Planning, for Kentucky Fried Chicken Corporation (“KFC”), a YUM! Brands Inc. (“YUM”) subsidiary. He began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (“PwC”) in the Assurance practice for several years based in Louisville, Kentucky. Ullrich held numerous finance and accounting positions at both KFC and YUM until being promoted to KFC U.S. Interim Chief Financial Officer in October 2022 where he was responsible for a $5 billion brand with approximately 4,000 restaurants across the country. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and Business Administration in Finance. He is also a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Kentucky.

LOUISVILLE, Ky., May 15, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Churchill Downs Incorporated (“CDI” or “the Company”) (Nasdaq: CHDN) today announced the opening of its new 122-room hotel and event center at Terre Haute Casino Resort. CDI opened the 400,000-square-foot regional entertainment venue’s casino floor on April 5, 2024 with 1,000 slot machines, 36 tables games, and a state-of-the-art sportsbook. Terre Haute Casino Resort offers regionally inspired food and beverage amenities including the Four Cornered Steakhouse, Rockwood Bar & Grill, The Soda Shoppe, Crossroads Center Bar and High Limit Bar.

Kentucky Derby to be Presented on NBC and Peacock through 2032

CDI’s partnership with NBC Sports began in 2001. This multi-year partnership extension will make NBC the first media company to present the most prestigious event in horse racing for over three decades.
