Leading global esports organisation Team Vitality debuts its Pro Jersey 2021, the first adidas model designed from scratch for an esports team. As the first team to partner with adidas on a jersey not based on an existing sport club design, the creative department at Team Vitality and adidas came together to produce a cutting-edge model especially for this shirt. The sleek design launches today celebrating the past eight years of achievements and milestones for Team Vitality, while cementing its longstanding and innovative five year partnership with adidas. Each element of the Team Vitality Pro Jersey 2021 including the collar, sleeves and base mesh have been hand-picked by both brands.

Team Vitality’s partnership with adidas began in 2017 and has gone from strength to strength. In 2019, adidas co-created its first esports sneaker with Team Vitality, VIT.01, which went onto sell out worldwide within a week of its release. During 2020, Team Vitality and adidas produced two new jersey designs including the Alternate adidas VIIctory Jersey, as well as the second iteration of the esports sneaker, VIT.02. The Dragon Ball Z inspired limited edition sneakers sold double the amount of pairs in the same timeframe as VIT.01, in just under 24 hours after its launch.

The new Pro Jersey 2021 features a standout yellow and white patterned line design which represents the expansion, evolution and success of the organisation over the past eight years, with the main bold yellow line seamlessly connecting and uniting both patterns, acting as the organisation’s backbone. The Pro Jersey 2021 is made from 100% recycled polyester and also features adidas’ Primegreen, a series of high-performance recycled materials, to help End Plastic Waste plays a major role in the brand’s commitment to reach the target of 60% of all ranges produced with recycled polyester by 2021. The design will be worn by Team Vitality’s pro players and ambassadors across all titles.

Since it was founded in August 2013 by Fabien Devide and Nicolas Maurer, Team Vitality has gone on to form a global presence in esports with a roster of talent featuring some of the industry’s best esports players. With teams competing across eight esports titles including Rainbow Six, League of Legends, CS:GO, FIFA and Rocket League, Team Vitality continues to show its competitive edge and industry achievements with numerous championship wins. As of 2021, Team Vitality continues to build upon its esports status, most recently announcing its expansion into the VALORANT competitive scene.

“We are so proud of this partnership with Team Vitality. This approach reinforces our position as an innovative and ground breaking sport brand. Team Vitality is a high quality partner that continues to inspire the esports industry with a strong presence that we were the first, as an equipment manufacturer, to pre-empt more than 4 years ago. Our priority is to offer the best out of our products and technologies to our athletes to help them make a difference, whatever their discipline. We’re so pleased with this partnership that we want in the long run to continue to challenge sports industry codes” said Sylvain Bouches, VP Director Brand for adidas France.

“We are proud to be the first team in the world to have an original adidas concept design which represents the expansion, evolution and success of Team Vitality over the last eight years. As we stand in the fifth year of our partnership, it’s great to still be able to create cutting-edge ideas and produce exceptional products that resonate with our community,” said Fabien “Neo” Devide, Executive President & Co-founder, Team Vitality. “With partnerships spanning fashion, music, and tech, esports is truly forming its own path as a modern competitive sport, and holding its own when compared to traditional sports.”

Prime Video, one of the leading entertainment destinations, will premiere the five-part documentary Esports World Cup: Level Up on June 6, with new episodes released weekly. Directed by Emmy-winning filmmaker R.J. Cutler (Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry, Elton John: Never Too Late and Martha), the series goes behind-the-scenes of the inaugural Esports World Cup (EWC) in 2024 — a defining moment in global esports, where over $60 million in prize money ignited a high-stakes, multinational battle to crown the world’s top esports Club.

The series is produced by This Machine (a part of Sony Pictures Television), with R.J. Cutler directing, John Dorsey serving as showrunner, and Jane Cha Cutler, Trevor Smith, Elise Pearlstein and Mark Blatty executive producing. Level Up will premiere exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.

Esports World Cup: Level Up offers a rare look inside a global competition that’s redefining what it means to be a champion for a new generation of athletes and fans. R.J. Cutler and his team of expert storytellers embedded themselves within the eight-week tournament – watched by over 500 million fans globally – to uncover the personal sacrifices, rivalries and stakes driving the action.

Shot in verité style, the series combines intimate home visits from around the world and on-the-ground coverage from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It follows a wide cast of characters – from Club CEOs orchestrating million-dollar strategies to rising stars chasing life-changing wins – while capturing the pulse of elite esports competition.

“What drew me to the Esports World Cup was the compelling human stories unfolding within this high-stakes arena. Level Up isn’t just about the incredible competition and prize money; it’s about the dedication, the passion, and the sheer will of these athletes and teams pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. Under high pressure, we discover the true character of the competitors who vie for $60 million, but who also expose their humanity in the process,” said Cutler.

At the heart of Level Up is the “EWC Club Championship,” an unprecedented, multi-title tournament format where Clubs compete across more than 20 games, earning points toward a single leaderboard. Every match, every point, reshapes the race for global dominance. With the highest prize pool in esports history on the line, the EWC is not just a tournament – it’s a proving ground for the next generation of sports icons.

“A win might make the headlines — but the real story is the people behind it. Level Up dives into the human side of esports: the pressure, the ambition, the sacrifices. It’s about what it really takes to compete at the highest level — and why it matters. R.J. is the best at bringing those stories to life, and this one captures the heart of what we’re building,” said Ralf Reichert, CEO of the Esports World Cup Foundation.
