XP League, the first and largest esports franchise in North America, has announced its first official pro-team partner, DarkZero Esports.

Through this powerful partnership, DarkZero will lend its name and recognition to XP League and add a jolt of excitement for athletes by establishing a positive connection with a global audience.

DarkZero is a full-scale esports organization that combines state-of-the-art training and development with the goal of achieving shared success. The organization emphasizes a holistic approach to training and development and they fuse pro sports innovation and gaming expertise to build dominant teams for today’s games. Its teams have competed in Apex Legends, Rainbow Six, and Valorant and have made a name for themselves as a winning organization. They are the 2022 Apex Legends Global Series Champions and the 2022 Rainbow Six Siege Major Champions.

“We are thrilled to align our brand with the incredible DarkZero organization. Pro team partnerships like this are important as they help to validate the importance of youth esports and mentorship within the industry,” said Jay Melamed, XP League CEO and Brand President.

Along with the official partnership, DarkZero is also the first pro-organization to work with XP League on the brand’s Tilt Cancer programming with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Through the program, XP League is matching immunocompromised players with an XP League team where they can participate in a coach-led youth esports team. DarkZero is sponsoring 10 LLS Heroes so they can join teams and be part of something fun, rewarding, and social.

XP League, a fast-growing emerging youth esports franchise brand, has designed a custom coaching program that interweaves skill-building and tools to coach younger esports players. XP League’s continual investment in hiring and training the best coaches in the business makes it the top choice for families and entrepreneurs when it comes to youth esports.

Launched in 2020, XP League offers a nine-week seasonal program including one practice and one match a week. Each team is led by a coach who focuses on teaching resiliency, teamwork, and sportsmanship in addition to gaming skills. By integrating these values into the core format of its programming, kids see the positive reward as an exciting part of the overall experience.

Most Popular Esports Raging in the Market in 2023

The Esports industry is always buzzin’. There are way too many options and a suitable choice for literally everyone!

Best Esports Games Of 2023

Your parents are either a) out of touch or b) oblivious to the future if they have ever described your love of video games as a major time waster. Even though it may sound overly harsh, this point of view has some validity. Esports, the competitive gaming segment of the video game industry, has amassed sizable audiences, massive prize pools, and sponsorships, enabling top players to transform their pastimes into lucrative careers. Games from many different genres, both well-known and obscure, are included in Esports—the scene in the Esports sector for all players.

Are shooters your thing? Using Counter-Strike Global: An offensive opponent can be destroyed with a few caps. Do you want to participate in a Titanic battle royale? PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has you covered. Fan of sports? The NBA and Take-Two Interactive, the publisher of the immensely popular NBA 2K video game franchise, partnered to introduce the NBA 2K eLeague as a synthesis of the two worlds. The Esports industry has a video game and related scene for everyone. If you want to start betting on Esports, check out https://gg.bet/en/fortnite

There could be an excess of choices. The abundance of multiplayer, competitive video games on the market makes it intimidating to begin playing or watching competitive video gaming. Fortunately, this ranking of the best Esports games can guide you. Every game competing for that mouthwatering Esports cash is not worth your time. Additionally, there are several of those.

The Most Popular Esports of 2023

1. Apex Legends

After creating two excellent but underrated Titanfall games with the aid of the hugely successful battle royale shooter Apex Legends, developer Respawn finally received the credit it always deserved.

Instead of controlling hefty robots in Apex Legends, which is set in the Titanfall universe, you can control quick infantry. Fortunately, these lively people have a wide range of specialized knowledge. For instance, Mirage and Wraith can travel between realities and create holograms.

Effective communication techniques also keep the team together. Apex Legends has continued to gain great popularity because of its ongoing tournaments. Look at the schedule for the incredibly huge prize pools for upcoming tournaments.

2. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

Valve’s 2012 release of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO) was built upon a long tradition of multiplayer first-person shooter games, such as the original Counter-Strike and Counter-Strike: Source. Years later, the action-packed PC game mostly compares positively with more modern titles, thanks partly to its solid core gameplay and active community. However, Overwatch’s theme depth and CS: GO’s declining aesthetics are also shortcomings. Nevertheless, many people enjoy CS: GO’s simple gameplay and very competitive Esports culture, including the Eleague Major, a $1 million prize competition.

3. Dota 2

The saying goes, “Easy to learn, hard to master.” This phrase is used to denote various things, especially in gaming. One of the few games that best illustrates the adage is Defence of the Ancients 2 (Dota 2), one of the world’s most popular multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) games. In this free-to-play MOBA, you must select one of the more than 100 playable Heroes and engage in a battle using that character’s unique abilities, attributes, and playstyle to help your team win.

4. Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0

In the increasingly crowded battle royale market, Call of Duty still had much to offer shooter aficionados, as the original Warzone showed. Alongside the release of Modern Warfare II was a full-fledged sequel called Warzone 2.0. Building 21 and DMZ, two new game modes, are available as a result. As with the first Warzone, a popular series won’t immediately lose so many players. For expert players who wish to compete in major competitions, version 2 is currently the hottest.

Final Thoughts

Recent years have seen an increase in the popularity of esports video games, which are intensely competitive computer games dominated by titles like Valorant and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Players compete against one another in rounds in a variety of genres, such as first-person shooters and arcade beat ’em ups, to see who is the greatest.

EA Licensed Esports Platform Realm Launches in Apex Legends

Published

on

A new competition has arrived in Apex Legends. Realm, a new automated esports platform from Eric Faust (Co-Founder of Realm) and, Laura Wilson (Co-Founder of Realm), John Chase (Ex-Amazon, Abe Books) Carter Smith (Former Circus, acquired by Realm) and Ken McGaffey (Former owner of Third Impact Esports, Ex DARPA and Meta) is launching in Apex Legends, with over $150,000 in prize money offered in its first season.

Realm will kick off its inaugural season in the EMEA region this month, expanding to North America in Season 2, which kicks off in February 2023. Realm is one of the first platforms where pro and semi-pro players alike can engage in a competitive experience.

“Right now, esports is essentially focused on the top .01% of players. Players of lower skill levels don’t get a chance to experience competitive tournaments or places where they can compete to improve their skill. We want to change that. The biggest prizes will still be awarded at the pro level, but there will be multiple other tiers for players of different skill levels to compete in. Aspiring players will also get the chance to continually level up to get to those upper echelons through Realms rating system. Imagine a ranked service where instead of earning badges, you’re competing for cash,” Eric Faust, CEO of Realm, said.

Realm empowers aspiring professional players to get discovered. Professional gamers are able to showcase their skills in hopes of getting signed to a professional esport team. Realm is built on the Hedera public distributed ledger, and leverages the Hedera Consensus Service (HCS) to keep immutable records of events. For professional esports players, this provides a verifiable profile full of deep data insights from every match they play in, enabling prospective teams and coaches to get a full picture of the players skill set. Realm makes this data queryable so teams, coaches, and fans can use it to create statistical models. Players have the option to make their esports data shown publicly on their profile, or hide it so it’s not publicly accessible.

Realm isn’t a tournament, but rather a platform where players can queue up at any time (outside of when ALGS is live) in private competitive matches. Modeled after similar systems in Counter Strike like ESEA. Players get a rating based on the matches they compete in. That rating is used for players to compete against players of similar skill level. At the end of each season, players are then seeded into a ranked division based on their rating where they compete in a tournament setting to earn prizing.

“Hedera makes it possible, for the first time, for players to demonstrate, verify, and share at their choosing their gaming accomplishments. Realm’s new offering for EA’s Apex Legends is the beginning of a transformation. Running on the Hedera public ledger will enable gamers to showcase, verify, and capitalize on their skills as never before,” said Shayne Higdon, CEO of the HBAR Foundation, helping to drive the Hedera ecosystem.
