ClearStake taps Luke Cousins for commercial advisory role
ClearStake, the platform transforming player verification in UK iGaming, has further expanded its commercial operation after adding Luke Cousins to the team in an advisory role.
Cousins brings more than 15 years of commercial and business development experience from across the iGaming industry. He recently completed two-and-a-half years as Commercial Director at Playbook Engineering, having previously worked at Pentasia and provided consultancy for the likes of Unikrn, Hypometer Technologies and Moja Group.
He will focus on the continued roll-out of ClearStake’s ID by Bank product, which is already significantly increasing FTD conversions and reducing fraud for several UK operators.
Luke Cousins, advisor at ClearStake, said: “ClearStake is tackling one of the most persistent problems in UK iGaming – player drop-off at the point of verification. ID by Bank is a genuinely practical solution that improves conversion without compromising on compliance, and that combination is why I wanted to get involved. My focus will be on supporting the commercial rollout and helping the team scale adoption with operators who are under increasing pressure to do more with less.”
Martin Burt, CEO at ClearStake, added: “Luke brings a deep understanding of how operators actually buy, deploy and measure technology, which is exactly what we need at this stage of our growth. His experience across recruitment, supplier and operator-facing roles gives him a unique perspective, and we’re delighted to have him supporting our commercial strategy as we continue to scale ID by Bank in the UK market.”
Following the completion of a successful £1.5m funding round in November, ClearStake has accelerated investment in its commercial and advisory team as it continues its rapid growth.
In December, former NetEnt, QuickSpin and Aspire Global exec Paul Myatt joined to support sales and marketing efforts. Alistair Boston-Smith has also taken a Strategy Advisor role, after almost nine years at Bede Gaming.
