Midnite, the UK Betting and Casino Partner for the 2026 Johnstone’s Paint Masters, has announced the return of its popular campaign, Midnite Maximum, this time with a twist.

The Masters sees the 16 best players in the world go head to head, and this year’s Midnite Maximum will see 16 fans rewarded each time a 147 is hit throughout the week-long tournament at Alexandra Palace.

One of the biggest dates in the snooker calendar, this invitation-only event runs from 11–18 January and forms part of the sport’s Triple Crown alongside the World Championship and UK Championship. The compact format leaves no room for error. Every match carries genuine weight, and there are no easy draws.

At last year’s World Snooker Championship, Midnite introduced the Midnite Maximum, which gave one fan the chance to win £25,000 if a maximum break was made during any session – and that is exactly what happened when Mark Allen hit a 147 at the Crucible, which resulted in Brian Nicholls walking away with £25,000.

This year, Midnite wanted to increase the chances for fans by increasing the number of winners. The initiative will run at every session at Ally Pally, with attending fans able to sign up via QR codes and iPads that will be dotted around the venue. Participants will need to be aged 25 and over and live in the UK to enter.

The 16 entrants per session will be selected at random and announced before every session (T&Cs apply).

Andrew Mook, Midnite’s Head of Brand Marketing, said:

“The Midnite Maximum showed last year just how powerful a single moment in snooker can be. Bringing it back for the Masters felt like the perfect opportunity to evolve the idea, keeping it fresh, relevant and aligned with one of the sport’s most iconic events.

“This version of the Midnite Maximum allows us the chance to see 16 winners, meaning 16 different reactions, and the potential to leave lasting memories for more fans. It’ll put fans right at the heart of the action while creating brilliant, shareable moments.”

Peter Wright, WST’s Chief Commercial Officer, said:

“This is another fantastic innovation and adds a real buzz for the crowd every time someone is on a maximum. The Midnite Maximum at the Crucible last year worked brilliantly, and when Mark Allen made a 147, it was brilliant to see the reaction from the winning fan. This time, there will be 16 very happy people in the crowd if a maximum is made! There have already been a record number of 147s this season, and with the best 16 players in the world at Alexandra Palace, let’s hope we can see that magical moment once again.”
