Cash Recycling and Age Verification proves popular at ICE Barcelona

Innovative Technology (ITL) reported a successful show at the inaugural ICE Barcelona which took place last week at the Fira Gran Via. ITL supply the land-based gaming industry with a range of cash validation & recycling devices plus age verification technology. ICE is the world’s biggest annual gaming show which moved to its new home for 2025, following many years in the UK.

Marcus Tiedt, ITL Sales & Marketing Director commented, “ICE’s new location certainly generated much excitement this year and it was great to catch up with many of our European and international customers as well as lots of our Spanish clients too. The new location is not far from our office in Barcelona so it was a good opportunity to get the whole Spanish team involved. MyCheckr for automated age checks and the NV4000 multi-note cash recycler were undoubtedly the two stars of the show for us this year, both drawing much interest from operators and manufacturers alike. The show also cemented the popularity of our NV22 Spectral (NV22S) in the European gaming market, especially in Spain where all OEMs and operators adopted this as their mixed note recycler of choice last year.”

Age Verification Technology

“It was evident at ICE that there is a real desire in the industry to prevent underage gambling and our age verification technology is readily available and affordable for all. MyCheckr can be used for age-related access at casino entrances and ICU Lite can be fully integrated into gaming terminals to give on-machine age verification. The need to protect vulnerable players will certainly play a more prominent role in the industry in the years to come and look forward to collaborating to ensure the right safeguards are in place.”
