2023 PUBG MOBILE GLOBAL CHAMPIONSHIP KICKS OFF IN ONE WEEK!

PUBG MOBILE Esports is excited to share that the 2023 PUBG MOBILE Global Championship (PMGC) is almost here! From the 2nd of November, 50 teams will be brought together from across the globe to compete at the highest level of PUBG MOBILE Esports. Hopeful teams will rise and fall as they battle for their share of the $3 million prize pool and the title of PUBG MOBILE World Champion, with the Grand Finals taking place at the Ülker Sports and Event Hall in Istanbul, Türkiye!

The 2023 PMGC will kick off with the PMGC League from November 2nd – November 19th. With groups already drawn, teams from the various PUBG MOBILE Pro Leagues (PMPL) and the PUBG MOBILE Esports ecosystem will go head to head to secure their place in the 2023 PMGC Grand Finals. This includes DRS GAMING and G.GLADIATORS, who have both been given special invites to the PMGC League due to their outstanding performance at global events. Over the course of the PMGC League, fans can experience six exciting matches per day where 48 teams will drop to 33 as the top three from each group will proceed, with the bottom five being eliminated from the competition.

The remaining teams will then move to the PMGC Survival Stage, from 22nd – 24th November, as teams will be given a second chance to prove themselves in the PMGC Last Chance Stage. Only 16 teams can make it to the PMGC Last Chance Stage, for their final chance to make it to the PMGC Grand Finals. Taking place from the 25th – 26th November, the stage will see fierce competition as teams desperately struggle to survive for the final five places in the PMGC Grand Finals.

Only the best teams can proceed to the PMGC Grand Finals, joining S2G Esports as the home country representative and Titan Esports Club from the PEL. December 8th – 10th, at Istanbul’s Ülker Sports and Event Hall, is where it all counts. The strongest competition, on the biggest stage of PUBG MOBILE Esports, where only one team can be crowned PUBG MOBILE World Champion.

The Esports World Cup starts at the end of this month in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and Honor of Kings will be one of the games featured in the premier esports event in the world. Starting on August 1st, the Honor of Kings Invitational Midseason | Esports World Cup will gather the best 12 teams in the world for exciting matches for the title of champion and a share of the total prize pool of US$ 3 million.

Among the participating teams, two are set to be invited directly into the tournament, one is an all-star line-up of players from the King’s Pro League, the Chinese Honor of Kings pro league, and another representing the Southeast Asia region. As for the other qualifying spots, first slot is for the host country, KSA team and Team Falcons advanced via EWC Saudi Qualifier. One will be determined by a Last Chance Qualifier tournament and the remaining spots will be determined by the top 8 teams at the Invitational Season 2, which is being held in Malaysia. Inaugural Esports World Cup is a global celebration of competitive excellence and esports fandom,  with a record-breaking prize pool of over $60 million (500 Cr.)

Star Sports Network and the Esports World Cup Foundation (“EWCF”) today announced the acquisition of broadcasting rights for the Esports World Cup (“EWC”) 2024. The tournament, held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from July 3rd to August 25th, will unite the global gaming communities and deliver premier competition in a unique format at an unprecedented scale. Over eight weeks, the EWC will feature the world’s top Esports clubs competing in 21 of the most popular game titles, making it the largest multi-game Esports tournament ever. As the official broadcaster, Star Sports is set to deliver comprehensive coverage of the tournament, offering viewers and fans an unparalleled Esports experience with in-depth commentary in English and Hindi. The Esports World Cup will be streamed on Star Sports’ YouTube channel and broadcast on linear TV via Star Sports First and Star Sports 2.

In 2022, BGMI Masters became the first Esports franchise to be broadcast in India by the Star Sports Network, drawing in millions of viewers over its linear television debut. The eight games to be broadcasted on Star Sports Network are Call of Duty: Warzone, Dota 2, Counter-Strike 2, Overwatch 2, Apex Legends, Fortnite, EA Sports FC 24, and PUBG Battlegrounds     .
