Taking the game to the next level: SKS365 presents Planetwin365’s flagship store in Rome
The B2B event took place yesterday in the company’s new betting&gaming hall in Rome: personalisation, digitalisation and entertainment are the pillars of the new concept “IN THE GAME”
Flexibility, customization and digitalization in the name of entertainment are the three key pillars that led the building of the new Planetwin365’s flagship store in Rome, the betting and gaming brand owned by SKS365 group. On Wednesday the 17th of May, a B2B event dedicated to the industry was held in a historic location for the city entertainment. Right here, in fact, stood the Extraball arcade, a cult location in the 1990s. A landmark from which SKS365 started a complete restyling, resulting in over 300 square meters of a brand-new store that provides a complete and cutting-edge offer of entertainment, following the innovative “IN THE GAME” concept.
Technological innovation, automation and security distinguish the hardware inside the shore: 12 channels are dedicated to horse racing, including 4 for live racing and 8 for odds display. This extra-large format will allow analysts’ real-time updates to be shown during the whole horse races. Another highlight is a 136-inch HD video wall, consisting of 6 mosaic screens and the possibility of placing sports bets and playing Virtual Sports in full autonomy thanks to the Betting Terminals positioned near the video wall. Located in the gaming machine room there is a suite of slots and videolotteries. Finally, special attention is paid to automation: in addition to the classic counters, there are also two new generation automatic cash machines from the supplier Cashlogic for money management, to ensure greater security and efficiency.
All this falls under a concept- ‘IN THE GAME’ – that puts the player at the center of the entertaining experience. In fact, the shop’s philosophy is focused on interactivity and to providing customers with a personalized experience based on their needs and fully integrated with the digital offer, following an omnichannel perspective. SKS365’s ambition is to take the simple usage of the products to a new level: the shop becomes a meeting point for immersive and multifunctional entertainment, and it is designed to maximize the social aspect of the game and to experience the passion for sport along with other people.
Special attention has also been paid to environmental sustainability: the shop’s activities will be almost entirely carried out in digital format, from posters to informative videos, to minimize paper usage. The massive use of LEDs will contribute to the low power consumption of the shop, which will also benefit from centralized and customized content management through the partner Net4Media.

Stoiximan Appoints Nikos Fligos as Chief Executive Officer

OPAP announced the appointment of Nikos Fligos as Chief Executive Officer of Stoiximan. Since November 2024, Nikos Fligos has been serving as Managing Director of Stoiximan.
Previously, he held the position of Commercial Director at Kaizen Gaming from 2022. He has over 20 years of experience in senior leadership roles, having previously served as Director of Commercial Operations at Papastratos S.A., and holding senior managerial positions at prominent Greek and multinational enterprises, including Coca-Cola HBC and Diageo PLC.
Mr. Fligos succeeds George Daskalakis, who steps down as Stoiximan’s CEO. As a co-founder of Stoiximan, Mr. Daskalakis played a pivotal role in order for the company to gain a leading position in the online gaming markets of Greece and Cyprus.

NOVOMATIC Africa Launches Local Assembly for Panther LPMs, Driving Innovation and Growth

NOVOMATIC Africa has announced that it has reached a major operational milestone: the local assembly of its popular Panther FV623D and FV624D Limited Payout Machines (LPMs) is now fully underway in South Africa. This strategic development marks a critical step in the company’s commitment to regional growth, operational agility and technological excellence.
The initiative was born out of post-pandemic global supply challenges, where machine delivery lead times were significant. To address this, NOVOMATIC Africa made the strategic decision to localise certain production capabilities—shortening timelines, reducing dependency on international shipments, and contributing to the local economy and empowerment.
At the helm of the project is Mohamed Abdullah, Technical & Operations Manager, who leads a team of highly skilled, internationally trained technical professionals.
After extensive planning and cross-border collaboration, NOVOMATIC Africa equipped a dedicated assembly area within its new Midrand facility. The space was enhanced with the necessary tooling, shelving and safety systems to handle high-volume pre-assembly processes, including monitor and bill validator modules.
This ambitious three-year journey—culminating in South Africa’s first locally assembled Panther LPMs—was not only a triumph of logistics and innovation but also a testament to human expertise, resilience and visionary leadership.
To ensure full compliance and alignment with both NOVOMATIC AG (Austria) and local regulatory standards, the project included:
• Acquisition of an Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Safety Test Machine
• Establishment of robust quality control protocols
• Integration with the NAG central database
• Development of a structured pre-assembly line for key components
• Empowering Local Talent
“Investing in people has been the most important part of this journey. Yes, we’re building machines. But more importantly, we’re building capability—equipping our team here in South Africa with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to meet global benchmarks,” said Mohamed Abdullah.
