Lightning Box unlocks a treasure trove in Crystal Vault

Upgradeable gameplay is central to this exciting new release

Specialist slot provider Lightning Box, one of Light & Wonder’s in-house studios, has added Crystal Vault to its portfolio, a slot that unlocks additional reel screens through play.

This 5×3 reel game has symbols depicting intrepid adventurers, biplanes and ferocious beasts that must form matching combinations across the title’s 25 paylines to award a win. Players are aided in unlocking wins through Crystal Vault’s wild symbol which substitutes all other symbols in game except the scatter to further increase winning potential.

Landing three or more scatter symbols in the base game awards eight bonus respins. Gameplay is initially played across one reel set, however, landing an additional two scatter symbols within the free spins round unlocks an extra reel screen that is also 5×3 in size to play on and resets the spins to eight.

Two additional reel screens can be unlocked that not only increase the chances of a win being created but also dramatically increase the size of these wins. Reel screen two adds a 2x multiplier wild when unlocked and reel screen three grants a 3x multiplier wild.
