Film and scene director Filip Hillesland (Tropical Island, Cyberpunk 2077) and game designer Maciej Szcześnik’s (Witcher 2) gut-wrenching adventure game Best Month Ever! gets an exclusive demo on PC and Xbox, a stylish announcement trailer, and a May 5th release.
Buckle Up for the Road Trip of a Lifetime
Set in 1960s America, you play as Louise, a single mother working as a waitress whose life is abruptly turned upside down by a terminal diagnosis. With one month left to live, she gathers her son Mitch and embarks on a road trip across the United States to expose him to the realities of a rapidly changing world and raise him against the ticking clock. You’ll meet bikers, hippies, Klansmen, Native Americans, and far-out wanderers of all sorts. Can you dig it?
Shape Mitch’s Future
Each choice you make adds positive or negative influence to three statistics: Righteousness, Confidence, and Relations. This tracks Mitch’s growth as a person and changes your story on the go, making each playthrough feel unique. The game offers 9 different endings, each one showing a different version of the man Mitch becomes. It’s up to the player to decide what exactly happened to him during his memorable journey through the USA with his mother.
Mother and Son
Louise and Mitch’s mutual relationship is at stake as well as their individual fates. Best Month Ever is, above all, the story of the challenging and unique bond that can only exist between a mother and son. It’s no coincidence that Best Month Ever! is releasing just two days before #mothersday in the US.
