Former Evolution Gaming Head of Engineering, Alex Haywood, joins Interactive Gaming Group as CTO

Following two decades of working in technology with hyper-growth companies, Alex Haywood, former Evolution Gaming Head of Engineering is joining leading media technology company – Interactive Gaming Group as CTO.

After witnessing the streaming experience evolve from waiting for videos to download, to high definition video streamed globally in milliseconds, Alex looks to apply his experience working to build streaming success stories like Evolution Gaming to drive growth and further develop IGG’s technology.

Commenting on his new role Alex said: “Having spent many years across iGaming and FinTech, I have worked inside the two key hyper growth technology spaces for almost 10 years and have witnessed what is required to succeed. Streaming is going to be one of, if not, the hyper growth market for some time in technology – and we will be on the cutting edge of that. The opportunity to work with Cristina, a key player in this space meant this was a chance too good to turn down.”

I experienced the death of Flash, the rise and the fall of RTMP, and now the latest technologies in this space such as Apple HLS, Adobe HDS or Microsoft Smooth take us to new heights. We have an incredibly exciting opportunity in front of us as we strive to maintain our position as leaders in the Streaming space while implementing our tech roadmap over the coming months and years.
