The Day of the Dead, a festival to celebrate the memory of family members past. When lighting your candles at the sacred altar, you are taken into the colourful afterlife. Fear not. Your spirit guides Catrin and Catrina will show you the way through Mictlán. Enrich your senses as you travel from the Moon Kingdom to the Kingdom of the Sun.

A 5-reel slot game, Muerto en Mictlán is vivid in its style with a burst of colour on every spin. Catrin and Catrina appear on the reels to guide you through the game’s levels which are reminiscent of The Sword and the Grail in that respect.

Each level has a unique Wild feature that reflects a different spirit. These spirits possess the power to take you onto the next part of your journey through Mictlán. Which in turn, evolves the story for the player as they get to take control of which direction they take the story with the choice of Wild features.

Impressive visuals and audio create an ambience that fully immerses the player into the world of Muerto en Mictlán. You’ll see a vivid colour palette and traditional motifs of flowers and animals in decorative swirls. You’ll spot a nod to Calaveras (sugar skulls), which appear as the decoration for Catrin and Catrina’s face paint.

The animation of the Soul Scatter is worth mentioning too. This clever animation features electric purple and blue shades with a wispy outline in the shape of a ‘spirit’, adding further to the spectacular visuals in this game.
