WePlay Academy League Season 2 dates are set

In the next season, several leading world Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) organizations will introduce their new up-and-coming player rosters to the professional esports scene.

The WePlay Academy League Season 2 will start with two GSL groups playing a Group Stage. The strongest team from each group will proceed to the double-elimination Playoffs, while the teams which take the last place in their respective groups will be eliminated from the competition. The remaining organizations will fight for the two vacant slots in the Playoffs during the Last Chance Group. The Playoff Stage will take place offline at the WePlay Esports Arena Kyiv. The total prize pool of the second season is $100,000.

Event schedule:

  • Group Stage — September 28 – October 5, 2021
  • Last Chance Group — October 7–9, 2021
  • Playoff Stage — November 12–14, 2021

Eight leading CS:GO organizations from all over the world, each fitting the list of requirements, will participate in the tournament. The teams consist of at least four players aged between 16 and 20 years old. One player per team aged over 20 is allowed.
