Kongebonus appoints David Nilsen as Editor-in-Chief

Kongebonus, the leading source for iGaming news and casino and betting information in Norway, has appointed David Nilsen as Editor-in-Chief as the platform continues to raise the bar for player-focused, investigative content.

Nilsen steps into the role after several years working behind the scenes at Kongebonus, where he has played a key role in shaping the platform’s editorial framework. Alongside his time as Senior Casino Writer, he has also worked in customer-facing roles at Kindred Group PLC and Betsson Group, giving him first-hand insight into player behaviour and operator processes.

Beyond his operational and editorial background, Nilsen has conducted in-depth strategic research for major newspapers in Norway and internationally, with a particular focus on new gambling legislation and regulatory developments. Combined with years of analysing game providers, mechanics and player response, his profile bridges the gap between complex regulation and real player experience.

In his new role, Nilsen will lead Kongebonus’ editorial strategy with a clear mission to further professionalise the platform’s content and methodology. A key priority will be expanding the site’s manual testing framework, ensuring every review reflects the genuine experience of a Norwegian player navigating a platform in real time.
