Formula 1 and Sportradar Launch In-race Betting for 2020 Season

Formula 1 and Norway-based sports data provider Sportradar have introduced in-race betting for the 2020 season.

Sportradar will use historical Formula 1 data to create new live odds models on more than 20 markets for every race this season. The operator also hopes to launch live betting for practice and qualifying sessions.

We believe this partnership will provide our fans with yet another platform to engage with the races in a manner that hasn’t been possible until now as we head into another exciting year of racing,” Adam Crothers, head of digital media rights at Formula 1, said.

“For a long time now our sport has been synonymous with data as it is such a key component of F1, and this agreement will allow us to bring that data to life through Sportradar’s exciting in-race betting offering which is set to expand throughout the season,” Adam Crothers added.

David Lampitt, Sportradar’s managing director for sports partnerships, said the agreement creates an opportunity to increase engagement among Formula 1 fans.

Introducing live in-race betting opportunities is a starting point to unlocking those opportunities and increasing interest and engagement amongst fans worldwide,” Lampitt said.
