HOCKEY HALL OF FAMER EDDIE OLCZYK TO CONTINUE SERVING AS BRAND AMBASSADOR, PROVIDing HORSE RACING PICKS, INSIGHTS & ANALYSIS

1/ST TECHNOLOGY has announced a three-year extension deal between renowned broadcaster and handicapper Eddie Olczyk and 1/ST BET, the official app of Golden Gate Fields, Gulfstream Park, the Maryland Jockey Club at Laurel Park, Pimlico Race Course, Santa Anita Park, the Preakness Stakes, the Pegasus World Cup, and this weekend’s Florida Derby. Olczyk has personally bet with 1/ST TECHNOLOGY’s products since 1996, and has served as a brand ambassador since 2013. Through this partnership, Olczyk will help introduce 1/ST BET to new and experienced racing fans, and will provide picks, insights, and wagering strategies to 1/ST TECHNOLOGY’s customers in North America.

Since 2015, Olczyk has served as lead handicapper for NBC’s coverage of major horse racing events like the Preakness Stakes, Kentucky Derby and Breeders’ Cup.  He was the winner of the 2018 Pegasus World Cup Betting Championship, a handicapping tournament with a $371,000 prize pool, and in 2009 famously hit a bet for $497,000 using his Xpressbet account, in which he correctly picked the winner of six straight races.

Beyond horse racing, Olczyk is a 16-year NHL veteran, a Stanley Cup winner, and was inducted into the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame in 2013. He currently serves as the lead game analyst for the NHL on NBC.
