Motorway miles, murals and mullets as Midnite completes hat-trick of fan-led activations with Sheffield United

Midnite – the UK’s fastest-growing sportsbook and casino – helped Sheffield United supporters get closer to their club with a hat-trick of fan-first activities.

Midnite brought back its luxury free coach travel for more than 100 Sheffield United fans for their Championship clash with Southampton last night.

The UK bookmaker, which is the principal partner of Sheffield United and Southampton’s official training kit partner for the 2025/26 season, re-created The Midnite Express for the 410-mile-round trip, which ended in a 1-0 victory for the Saints.

The 100-plus Blades fans were joined on the coaches by club legends Michael Brown, Paddy Kenny and Rob Kozluk as they made their way to St Mary’s.

With club quizzes, Q&As and exciting giveaways, Midnite made sure it was a memorable trip to the south coast.

Andrew Mook, Midnite’s Head of Brand Marketing, said: “We loved creating The Midnite Express for Southampton fans earlier on in the season and we were so excited to bring it back for Sheffield United supporters for their trip to St Mary’s on a cold Wednesday night.

“We know how difficult it can be travelling to and from midweek away games with the high costs and time it takes, so we were always going to help out those lucky Sheffield United supporters by giving them an unforgettable away day experience.”

 

Painting the town red (and white)

Midnite kicked off the week by unveiling a 50-square metre mural, celebrating Blades club legend, and current manager, Chris Wilder.

Thanks to successful spells at Bramall Lane during his playing career, and later as a Manager – including taking Sheffield United back to the Premier League in 2019 – Chris Wilder has cemented his legendary status at Sheffield United, and Midnite felt it only right to celebrate this status.

The mural has appeared on The Railway pub, opposite Sheffield United’s iconic Bramall Lane stadium – a ground synonymous with their current boss, and club hero, Wilder.

As part of the initiative, Midnite have donated £1,000 to The Railway, will be used towards a revamped outdoor area, enhancing the fan experience for Blades supporters, as they look for a positive 2026.

New year, fresh trim

to get a free haircut to start the new year in style as Blades stars Callum O’Hare and Michael Cooper chanced their arm with the clippers.

Midnite took over TaylorTaylor barbershop in the heart of Sheffield City Centre to transform it into The Blades Salon.

After what was a tough 2025, which saw the club suffer play-off final heartache and then a tough start to the new campaign, Midnite built on the recent upturn in form by giving fans a fresh new trim for 2026.

Sheffield United stars Callum O’Hare and Michael Cooper even had a go on the clippers to make it a memorable afternoon for Blades fans.
