Etienne Azzopardi appointed Interim Managing Director at Swintt
Sought-after software provider’s former COO takes the reins following the departure of outgoing CEO David Mann as company restructure continues
Rapidly-expanding software provider, Swintt, has announced this week that Etienne Azzopardi has taken over the role of Interim Managing Director as the company continues to restructure its C-Level team following the departure of outgoing CEO, David Mann.
Having joined Swintt as Director of Operations in August 2021 before moving up to the position of Chief Operating Officer in February 2022, Etienne has spent four-and-a-half years overseeing everything, from operational management and product roadmap optimisation to market licensing and game certification for the provider, making him the ideal fit to fill the role on an interim basis.
During that time, Etienne has been responsible for managing, coordinating and optimising countless product deliveries and new client launches, while also presiding over a period of significant geographical expansion for the company, with Swintt entering its 13th regulated market in Italy last summer – an incredible achievement for a provider that only opened its doors in 2019.
In his new position as Interim Managing Director, Etienne will continue to head-up operations for Swintt in all these key areas, while also taking the lead in terms of driving Swintt’s future product strategy, ongoing market expansion plans and team development strategy going forward.
With all this sitting very much within Etienne’s existing sphere of expertise, Swintt are confident that the former COO will relish taking on the additional responsibilities that come with the new role and provide a steady hand capable of steering the company through its next phase of growth.
Etienne Azzopardi, new Interim Managing Director at Swintt, said: “I’m very excited to be appointed as the Interim Managing Director at Swintt and hope I can repay the trust the company has shown in me by continuing the excellent work we’ve done over the past few years.
“Under David Mann, Swintt grew from an innovative start-up to a software provider sought after for its portfolio of high-quality games with a far-reaching distribution across 13 regulated markets globally. In my new role, I fully intend to build on these strong foundations by helping the company expand its portfolio, grow our reach with new commercial partnerships, and make our content available in additional key markets – cementing our legacy in the industry as we enter the next phase of our evolution.”
