Celebrate St Patrick’s Day Under the Glittering Dome at the Plaza Hotel & Casino
The Plaza Hotel & Casino will host a St Patrick’s Day party under its iconic glimmering dome from 4pm to 8pm on Sunday, March 17.
The party will include a DJ, festive backgrounds for selfies and group photos and drink specials at the Carousel Bar including green beer, Irish car bombs and an Irish Mule, which is a specialty green cocktail made with ginger beer, Jameson Irish Whiskey and lime.
With its larger-than-life animated elements, the Carousel Bar will be the centerpiece of the holiday party located underneath the glittering lights of the Plaza Hotel & Casino’s dome, which is the perfect location to celebrate the spirit of the Irish just steps away from the Fremont Street Experience.
Directly across from the Carousel Bar, Pinkbox Doughnuts will be offering its full line of adorable and delicious doughnuts including more than a dozen specially designed creations for St Patrick’s Day such as Minty, the Pooh shaped confection made of chocolate cake and chocolate buttercream covered in mint frosting and topped with candy décor and an Irish flag.
Located in the heart of downtown Las Vegas, the Plaza Hotel & Casino will again celebrate New Year’s Eve with a full evening of celebrations in classic Las Vegas style, complete with a delicious dinner at Oscar’s Steakhouse, live entertainment, complimentary champagne toasts, and downtown’s only live fireworks show at midnight on Sunday, Dec. 31.

The Plaza’s new Carousel Bar located under the property’s iconic dome will be at the heart of the evening’s festivities. Carousel Bar will offer an unmatched location to celebrate the new year with handcrafted cocktails, and just steps away from the best vantage point downtown to watch the fireworks, the portion of Main Street in front of the Plaza that will be closed to vehicles during the show.
As part of its NYE Room Package, the Plaza will hold an all-ages viewing party of the fireworks for hotel guests only on its rooftop pool deck. The room package also includes a $50 food and beverage credit for use during the stay (2-night minimum) and complimentary early check-in and late check-out (based on availability). The NYE Room Package is available to book online.
Before the fireworks, the award-winning Oscar’s Steakhouse will offer a special three-course meal in addition to its regular steak and seafood menu. Restaurant diners will enjoy a complimentary champagne toast at midnight while watching the fireworks show from under the dining room’s iconic glass dome. The Sand Dollar Downtown will give 2023 a proper send-off with live music and hand-crafted cocktails all night long. The classic rock band, Ian Crawford & Cosmic Miles will perform from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.

The Plaza Hotel & Casino’s new Carousel Bar will celebrate the holiday by featuring its Amalfi Swing drink, which has its own special ‘pop’ thanks to a garnish of Pop Rocks popping candy to a summery cocktail made with Skyy Citrus vodka, Luxardo Limoncello, Campari, Ruffino Moscato d’Asti, lemon juice. Pinkbox Doughnuts will feature a special line of 4th of July creations as well.
Staged from multiple locations on the Plaza Hotel & Casino’s roofs and towers, the fireworks will be an amazing show for people downtown and visible for miles beyond. To allow for prime viewing of the fireworks and increased pedestrian traffic, Main Street will be closed to vehicular traffic for a limited time from Carson Avenue to Ogden Avenue.
