Thunderkick serves up scorching cluster wins and more in Hot Potato

Independent slots studio Thunderkick is cooking up some fiery fun with Hot Potato, its latest release.
The first of the provider’s games to feature a cluster win mechanic, players must match five or more identical symbols – such as soda cans, burgers and fries – next to each other in horizontal or vertical directions on the game’s 7×7 grid to land a win.
Hot Potato introduces its namesake character in the form of an Exploding Wild, which can randomly appear and trigger on any spin or during any cluster win. The potato explodes across a 3×3 area, removing all symbols and creating a Multiplier Grid.
Each position in a Multiplier Grid starts at x2, and if further Exploding Wilds land in the area during subsequent cluster wins, these values are doubled with chances to reach up to x128 the player’s bet.
Landing three Scatters on any spin will unlock the bonus game, awarding players with 10 free spins to start. Multiplier Grids that form during the bonus game are persistent, remaining on the grid until the round ends for scorching win potential.
Hot Potato showcases Thunderkick’s continued commitment to innovation, introducing new mechanics alongside refined features and striking design choices. The release follows the acclaimed Bones & Bounty, with the provider set to unveil further exciting titles in the coming weeks.
