Approval marks European-based Shape’s B2B continued expansion in the US online gambling market

Shape Games has received its first US state online gaming license with the approval of a vendor license by the Colorado Limited Gaming Control Commission, Shape CEO Christian Risom announced today.

The approval permits Shape Games to offer its award-winning front-end gaming technology to operators that are also licensed in Colorado. The company has recently signed agreements with licensed operators in the US, including Ballys.

“We’re very pleased to receive this approval as the first of multiple licenses we are pursuing in order to be a leader in gaming services to the US market,” Risom said. “Colorado is one step in our plan to provide the leading consumer engagement platform for the gaming industry as it grows in the American market. Our clients say that our platform is the most modern, engaging and consumer-focused engine in the industry. That stems from our origin as a consumer app developer working with companies like Apple, Red Bull and Ikea.”

Copenhagen-based Shape has delivered best-in-class digital products used by millions of consumers and knows how to entertain and engage customers while driving app-based commerce. The company has built successful applications for European online gambling companies, including the market-leading Danish state operator Danske Spil.

“Our focus is on bringing consumer app best practices to iGaming for the benefit of our partner operators and their customers,” said Morten Tonnesen, Shape’s Chief Commercial Officer. “The customisable apps are designed with user experience at the heart of the design process and makes our apps competitive with the popular entertainment apps that are vying for time-starved consumers.

Shape’s customers applaud the company’s award winning personalised user interfaces that simplify and streamline their customers’ time, decisions, and ultimately make them feel like these brands know them better. Shape along with Danske Spil were named Best Native App at the EGR Awards three consecutive years from 2018 to 2020, as well as Best Omnichannel Solution in 2020.
