In first place is Riot Games’ 5v5 MOBA strategy game League of Legends: Wild Rift. LoL:WR launches in North America this month to eagerly awaiting fans, with many speculating which champions will feature in the launch – perhaps fan classics such as Jinx, Teemo, and Yasuo. There are 455,000 monthly average searches worldwide for League of Legends: Wild Rift.
Money.co.uk found that the second most anticipated game is Plants vs Zombies 3, with 167,700 monthly average searches, which promises to bring back classic playable characters along with brand new ones.
In third place is My Time at Portia, described as a delightful farming simulation and already available on other platforms, at 128,000 monthly average searches.
In fourth and fifth place, respectively, are Pokémon Sleep (126,800) and Pokémon Unite (99,600). Considering 2021 marks the 25th anniversary since the first Pokémon game, it is no surprise that these games are highly anticipated by fans. The recent Pokémon Presents livestream event left many fans wanting more!
In sixth is Fallout Shelter Online (37,700), seventh is Apex Legends Mobile (30,900) and eighth is Roller Champions (28,600).
The ninth most anticipated game is Harry Potter: Magic Awakened, with an average monthly search volume of 21,800. Whilst beta testers for this game were disappointed, there are still high hopes for the game as it enters final development stages. Magic Awakened will follow a similar pattern to the 2018 game Hogwarts Mystery.
The 10th most anticipated game is Marvel Future Revolution, at 15,700 monthly average search volumes. An ambitious open world RPG, Marvel Future Revolution will feature heroes from all MCU phases, and more.
