We are taking the time to introduce you to the experts that will be joining the panel discussions and today, we are introducing you to Evan Davis (Sports Wagering Consultant with Pivot Sports Group).
Evan Davis is a sports wagering consultant with Pivot Sports Group, a Philadelphia-area consulting practice specializing in marketing and revenue generation by thoughtfully and strategically advising properties and brands. Evan works with companies across the sports betting landscape to navigate this rapidly developing world.
Previously, Evan served as Vice President and General Counsel of Rivers Casino Philadelphia (formerly SugarHouse Casino), where he oversaw all legal matters for a company with over $300 million in annual gaming revenues and served as one of the key executives spearheading the casino’s launch of sports wagering. Earlier in his career, Evan worked as an attorney in the Philadelphia offices of Dechert LLP and Pepper Hamilton LLP, and also clerked for the Honorable Robert B. Kugler of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
Evan was named by the Philadelphia Inquirer as a 2019 “Influencer of Law,” and is a recipient of The Legal Intelligencer’s 2019 “GC Impact” award and the Philadelphia Business Journal’s 2017 “Best of the Bar” award. Evan was also named by the Philadelphia Business Journal in 2019 and Emerging Leaders of Gaming and Global Gaming Business magazine in 2018 to their respective classes of “40 Under 40.” Evan currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation, a charity that serves over 3,000 inner-city children in Philadelphia, PA and Camden, NJ, and on the Board of Trustees for the Bala Cynwyd Library in Lower Merion Township, PA.
Evan received his B.A. from Duke University and his J.D. cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where he served as an editor on the University of Pennsylvania Law Review. He lives in suburban Philadelphia with his wife and two sons.

Governor Joe Lombardo has announced the appointment of Chandeni Sendall to the Nevada Gaming Control Board. Since 2015, Ms. Sendall has served as a Deputy City Attorney for the City of Reno, practicing in the civil division. Before her work in the Reno City Attorney’s Office, Ms. Sendall worked in civil and commercial litigation, served as an in-house legal intern for Caesars Entertainment, and clerked for the Honorable James W. Hardesty at the Nevada Supreme Court. While attending the William S. Boyd School of Law, Ms. Sendall served as the Editor-in-Chief of the UNLV Gaming Law Journal. Before her legal career, she served for several years as an Internal Auditor for Caesars Entertainment.
TheLotter US has send a reminder to customers to be vigilant against online phishing scams and fraudulent websites. With online lottery courier services growing in popularity, cybercriminals often target unsuspecting individuals with fraudulent emails and messages that falsely claim recipients have won a lottery prize. TheLotter Group’s announcement follows their fraud team’s discovery of phishing attempts, including several fraudulent websites impersonating the courier service’s platform.
The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has approved three consent agreements presented by its Office of Enforcement Counsel resulting in total fines of $282,205. The largest of the fines is $260,905 and was assessed against Interactive Gaming Operator BetMGM for 152 instances in which an individual on the Board’s Interactive Self-Exclusion List was permitted to gamble on their sites. Licensed operators of iGaming sites in Pennsylvania must deny individuals on the self-exclusion list from establishing or maintaining an interactive gaming site.
Zitro Digital has announced its entry into the newly regulated Brazilian iGaming market. With deep roots in Brazil, Zitro Digital is to bring its portfolio of in-house content to local players, marking a new chapter in the company’s long-standing connection with the country. Everi Holdings Inc in an agreement with 1/ST, North America’s preeminent Thoroughbred horse racing and pari-mutuel wagering company, announced the launch of their new mobile app and wagering experience, Gulfstream Racing. The new Gulfstream Racing App is now available in the Apple App Store. This launch is part of Everi’s strategic expansion into Sports and Entertainment following its acquisition of Venuetize in 2023 and expands the company’s footprint in the horse racing segment. Gulfstream Racing will be a valuable companion app for guests seeking the premier hospitality experience that 1/ST provides.
Payflo Inc. has entered into a partnership with MoneyGram to deliver cash-in and cash-out payment solutions tailored for U.S. gaming, lottery and marker settlement, marking a first-of-its-kind milestone in the industry. The Michigan Gaming Control Board has issued a cease-and-desist letter to Duranbah Limited N.V., the operator of MyBookie.ag, based in Curaçao. The site offers a variety of casino-style games, such as slots, poker and live-dealer games like blackjack, roulette and craps. It also allows users to place bets on sporting events and horse races. MyBookie.ag offers numerous payment methods for deposits and the funding of players’ accounts, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, PayPal, various cryptocurrencies and MoneyGram. However, withdrawals can only be made via Bitcoin or bank wire transfer. The MGCB’s investigation revealed that MyBookie.ag’s operation of online casino-style games for paying customers, without a valid Michigan gambling license, breaches several state laws.
Altenar has increased its focus on the North American iGaming market with the appointment of Matthew Ferrara as Sales Manager. Based in Miami, Ferrara has previously spent two years working in Croatia as a live trader on US sports for Superbet before returning to the United States to join micro-betting provider Kero Sports as Business Development Manager, specialising in outbound sales and strategic partnerships. He now strengthens Altenar’s sales team and will focus primarily on the North American market as the sportsbook provider looks to expand its operation.
SUZOHAPP has announced the appointment of Jim Kirner as its new Sales Director for North America. With over 20 years of experience in the gaming industry, Jim brings a wealth of expertise to his role and will be pivotal in driving SUZOHAPP’s sales and product strategies across the region. Throughout his career, Jim has been instrumental in driving transformational changes in the gaming sector, helping companies innovate and enhance the player experience. Prior to joining SUZOHAPP, Jim held key leadership positions at IGT, DiTRONICS, Interblock and Aruze Gaming Global.
Partnerships
The National Football League has announced a partnership with the Responsible Gambling Council to develop and implement a comprehensive responsible gambling training programme specifically designed for university and college student-athletes. The RGC and NFL have identified student athletes as an important audience for targeted responsible gambling and problem gambling prevention initiatives, as previous research has shown their susceptibility to risky gambling behaviour. The programme will launch with a pilot phase at eight universities and colleges across Canada in the upcoming 2025 spring semester. Insights and feedback from this phase will be used to refine and improve the programme before its broader rollout to 30 university and college institutions in the 2025–26 school year.
The PGA TOUR, PENN Entertainment and ESPN are launching a live betting stream on PGA TOUR LIVE on ESPN+. The ESPN BET branded stream will provide key data, insights and live betting analysis during coverage of six marquee FedExCup events across the 2025 PGA TOUR season. ESPN BET on PGA TOUR LIVE, set to premiere at the WM Phoenix Open on ESPN+ starting Thursday, Feb. 6, is made possible by a new multi-year agreement between the PGA TOUR and PENN Entertainment, the operator of ESPN BET. The deal designates ESPN BET as an Official Betting Operator of the PGA TOUR.
