BGaming launches Yokai slot as first title in ART Collab series with Gonçalo MAR

BGaming has released Yokai, a new slot and the first title in its ART Collab series, developed in partnership with Portuguese street artist Gonçalo MAR, the company said.

According to BGaming, ART Collab is an ongoing collection of games created with street artists from around the world, with each title featuring a different collaborator’s style. Yokai is BGaming’s third collaboration with Gonçalo MAR following two previous projects, and the first time the partnership has resulted in a full game.

BGaming said the partnership began after the company encountered MAR’s work at an exhibition in Lisbon, and noted that the artist’s work was also auctioned as part of BGaming’s Charity Gala in aid of DAR Bjorn. The company said Yokai’s visuals and story were created by MAR and implemented with support from the BGaming team, including references to his ‘Turista’ character and a finger-fish image used as a symbol and as the head of the game’s main character.

In Yokai, BGaming said players join a Samurai near an ancient Japanese forest by Mount Fuji, with Yokai spirits appearing throughout the game and the Samurai triggering a bonus round. On gameplay features, the company said the slot includes two types of Wilds, cumulative multipliers, a Free Spins bonus round with a random number of spins, a maximum win of x8,000 and a 97% RTP, along with two Buy options: Buy Chance and Buy Bonus.
