21.com launches online casino and sportsbook led by former BetVictor CEO Michael Carlton
21.com launched on June 16, 2026, positioning itself as a new online casino and sportsbook operator led by Founder & CEO Michael Carlton.
The company said it is targeting a range of global jurisdictions and plans to scale using a modern technology stack and “AI-centric operations.” It also referenced changes in payments and customer journeys tied to cryptocurrency as part of its market approach.
Carlton previously spent 13 years at EY as a Chartered Accountant before entering the gaming sector in 1997, according to the company. It said he then served as CEO of BetVictor for 17 years and has since invested in betting and gaming companies.
Carlton said the company is building without legacy systems. “One of 21.com’s greatest strengths is that it is being developed for the current market, rather than an after-thought adaptation of an existing one,” he said, adding, “21.com has embraced AI to deliver unparalleled customer experiences.”
The company also set out growth expectations for its market performance. “21.com will be one of the top three operators in every market it operates and in the world within two years,” Carlton said.
