Spinmatic updates Plata o Plomo with Hold&Win bonus overhaul
Spinmatic has announced Plata o Plomo Hold&Win, an updated version of its Plata o Plomo slot that adds a Hold&Win feature and reworks its bonus-stage payouts. The company positioned the release as an update to meet demand for “transparent, high-performance mechanics” in iGaming.
According to Spinmatic, the new version changes the bonus game stage winnings from the original title’s “random rewarding system” to what it described as a “clearly defined multiplier framework.” The company said the change is designed to reduce “guesswork” and provide players with a more transparent path to rewards.
Spinmatic also introduced a “Super Win” incentive tied to progression through the bonus feature. The company said that by reaching the end of the 3rd stage, players are “guaranteed a significant payout,” framing the design as a “near-miss” and “chase” dynamic.
The Hold&Win mechanic follows Spinmatic’s previous integration of the feature in Frank Pantera, the company said. While Frank Pantera used a 3×5 grid, Spinmatic said Plata o Plomo Hold&Win expands the coin respin grid to 4×5, matching the base game’s reel structure and creating a 20-slot bonus grid.
Spinmatic said the expanded grid is intended to support “higher hit frequency,” “increased volatility,” and “visual consistency” between the base game and the Hold&Win feature. The company did not disclose release timing, availability by market, or certification details in the announcement.
