PORTUGAL’S JORGE ABREU BEATS FELIX SCHNEIDERS TO WIN EUROPEAN POKER TOUR PARIS MAIN EVENT
PokerStars Ambassador makes their mark with stunning debut for Raúl Mestre in Spin & Go Championship Live
The European Poker Tour’s (EPT) triumphant return to the French capital has concluded, with Portugal’s Jorge Abreu capturing the prestigious EPT Paris Main Event title for a huge €1,148,600 at the stunning Le Palais des Congrès.
Abreu, an accomplished online grinder, has become the fourth EPT Main Event champion from Portugal, following Joao Barbosa, Antonio Matias, and Pedro Marques after beating the 1,474 entry field which generated a €7,075,200 total prizepool. The 35-year-old entered the seven-handed finale in a position desired pretty much by any poker tournament player in the world: holding a commanding lead, possessing half of all chips in play.
In the final showdown, Abreu beat well-known German steamer, content creator, and GRND Ambassador Felix ‘xflixx’ Schniders, who rode a short stack all the way to second place to earn his biggest ever poker win of €717,350.
“I think I did what I had to do, and I got really, really, really lucky,” Abreu said after his win. “To be honest, I’m feeling the same as I was 24 hours ago, 48 hours ago. I haven’t landed yet I guess. But it feels really good.”
Despite just missing out on the first-place title, Schneiders said: “It means the world to me. This is all I’ve ever dreamed of since I started doing the streaming project.”

REBOUR, ROITER, AND ABREU LEAD THE POKERSTARS LIVE LEAGUE
Abreu’s Main Event win has helped secure him the top-spot in the Medium PokerStars Live League Leaderboard, followed by Felix Schneiders. Theo Rebour from France is in first place in the Low Leaderboard, followed by Ivan Uzunov from Bulgaria, and in the High Leaderboard Klemens Roiter, who just missed out on the High Leaderboard win to Enrico Camosci in the 2025 Pokerstars Live League, is leading the charge, followed by Brandon Wilson from the USA. NEW AMBASSADOR RAÚL MESTRE WINS SPIN & GO CHAMPIONSHIP LIVE
PokerStars’ newest Ambassador certainly made their mark in Paris, as Raúl Mestre, a leading figure in the Spanish poker community, was crowned champion of the third-edition of the Spin & Go Championship Live, PokerStars’ bold live adaptation of its most popular online format.
The poker coaching pioneer steamrolled his way through his opponents, running well and rarely putting a step wrong throughout the whole tournament. In the tense final showdown, Mestre came up against fellow Spaniards and freeroll qualifiers Manuel Garrido and Narciso Solana but went on to defeat his fellow countrymen to win the Spin & Go Championship Live for €92,539. Mestre joined PokerStars as an Ambassador earlier this month and his attendance at EPT Paris for the Spin & Go Championship Live was his debut representing PokerStars on the live felt.
“EPT Paris has once again delivered world-class poker competition and huge wins for our players,” said Cédric Billot, Associate Director of Live Events Operations at PokerStars. “The energy in the room all week has been exceptional, and Paris continues to stand out as one of the crown jewels of the EPT tour.”
For its next stop, the EPT will head to the glamorous French Riviera for the legendary EPT Monte-Carlo, taking place from April 30 to May 10 at the stunning Salle des Etoiles.
