Returning to its roots after a successful Toronto sprint, the Pocket Gamer Connects (PGC) conference lands once again in the heart of Finland’s gaming landscape – Helsinki. Join Pocket Gamer on September 12th and 13th, at Wanha Satama, Pikku Satamakatu 3-5, Helsinki, Finland to celebrate the 40th instance of Pocket Gamer Connects.

Helsinki’s gaming influence extends beyond mobile, with a 16% rise in active developer studios and a remarkable 200% increase in developer studio investments post-pandemic, encompassing PC and console platforms. This legacy cements Helsinki’s role as a natural host for PGC, offering an environment where innovation and gaming unite effortlessly.

The countdown begins for this year’s Helsinki event, situated in the very birthplace of mobile gaming, Finland, renowned for its collaborative gaming community rooted in the mid-1980s demoscene movement. With some of the most well-known companies in the sector (including the likes of Supercell and Rovio, the latter recently attracting a SEGA takeover). At the forefront of innovation, Finland leads the charge in VR, XR, and metaverse technologies, too, with plans to invest up to 13 million Euros by 2030 to shape the digital future.

This year’s edition of Pocket Gamer Connects will feature 200 speakers such as Elina Arponen of Quicksave Interactive, Tommi Lappalainen from Rovio, Veli-Pekka Puolakanaho from Remedy Entertainment, Jussi Tähtinen of Nitro Games, Jaakko Kylmäoja of Fingersoft, and many more. The event will also feature tracks such as Ad Insights, AI Advances, Big Screen Gaming, Industry Visions & Values, and many more. Developers, publishers, along with other influential speakers have been invited to share their insights and experiences with a network that aims to grow the mobile games community.

Dave Bradley, COO of Steel Media says, “We’ve been hosting events in Helsinki now since 2014. It’s one of the most vibrant and collaborative ecosystems for games in the whole world. After successful events in Seattle, Dubai and Toronto already this year, we’re excited to be back seeing our friends in Finland. It’s always a huge pleasure to be able to host this event in the spiritual home of mobile gaming and innovation! And this year, we’ve partnered with Games Forest Club to support sustainability within the games industry. We won’t just be celebrating the booming games industry here, we’ll also be promoting environmental responsibility.”

Recognised worldwide, Pocket Game Connects brings together leading minds and innovators in the gaming industry. This year’s PGC event in Helsinki will broaden its scope to encompass themes such as AI and Web3. Attendees can also connect with investors and publishers, while showcasing their mobile games and offering live demos. Celebrating the 40th edition of PGC Helsinki signifies a notable milestone, providing participants with a valuable chance to engage in a significant event within the gaming community.

Pocket Gamer Connects returns on September 12th and 13th in Wanha Satma, Pikku Satamakatu 3-5, 00160 Helsinki, Finland.

Tickets for the event are now live, and available here. The event supports the work of indies (the Global Game Jam is PGC’s official indie partner) and there are heavily subsidised options for indie teams to take part and even showcase their games in the expo area.

Extendy – Premier platform for affiliate teams looking to create online casinos.

An innovative platform for creating turnkey online casinos is entering the market, developed over more than four years by a team of 150 engineers in collaboration with top arbitration experts. The platform’s main advantages are its exceptionally quick return on investment, a fully autonomous turnkey operating system, and a focus on mobile traffic.

Owning a casino brand offers arbitration teams several benefits. The primary advantage is that investing in paid traffic can build free, high-quality organic traffic from social media, SEO, external sites, etc., over the long term. When traffic is directed to a partner, the team receives immediate financial returns but loses out on the long-term bonuses of owning their brand.

Return on Investment in 6 Months

Close partnerships with top arbitration teams over several years have allowed thousands of hypotheses to be tested, resulting in an ideal product tailored for these teams. This product maximizes player lifetime value (LTV) and reduces traffic payback time to just six months.

This effect is achieved through numerous technical solutions that enable real-time analysis of advertising campaigns and predictive determination of which to halt and which to scale up. One such solution is the “Traffic Light” technology, which quickly predicts whether the traffic will be profitable. Each partner is marked with a colour: green for excellent traffic that should continue, yellow for questionable traffic that requires caution, and red for bad traffic that should be stopped immediately. Arbitration teams that have used the “Traffic Light” technology for some time report that quick traffic analysis makes it almost impossible to incur losses.

Best ROI for Mobile Traffic with AppAI Technology

One of Extendy’s standout features is its unique AppAI technology, which unlocks new possibilities for attracting mobile traffic. A specially developed neural network analyzes the user’s profile and the ad they came from, creating a unique onboarding flow that significantly increases conversion rates. This drastically reduces the return on investment time for this type of traffic.

“AppAI is a perfect demonstration that Extendy is created by professionals for professionals. During the development process, our arbitration partners repeatedly emphasized the importance of working with mobile traffic. We dedicated a significant amount of time to optimizing the product for mobile players,” said Aivar, CBDO of Extendy.com.

Autonomous Operating System and Turnkey Brand

Another key advantage of Extendy is its fully autonomous operating system, which meets the highest industry standards.

The entire infrastructure is designed so that arbitration teams receive a fully functional casino for long-term development and profit without the need to manage any operational processes.

The CRM, Support, VIP, Content, Payment, Legal, and other operational components of the product are fully automated and self-sufficient. Ready-made, tested, and unique retention funnels, email sequences, gamification systems, 24/7 support, and VIP support in all languages, along with many other solutions, allow casino owners to fully focus on marketing and player acquisition.

In a closed beta phase, dozens of successful casinos were launched on the platform, including BetOnRed, CryptoLeo, BDMBet, and many others. Millions of players are attracted and an average traffic payback period of six months proves that the platform is effective and ready for public launch and further growth.

All you need to create your online casino on the Extendy platform is to submit an application on the Extendy website. Within 2 months of signing the contract, you will receive a license, necessary payment gateways and game providers will be connected to the brand, and final adjustments will be made.

To celebrate the platform launch, a promotion has been launched. Write in the comments of your application that you are from EuropeanGaming and receive special setup conditions.

Slotegrator’s review of the first half of 2024 in iGaming: results & trends

slotegrator’s-review-of-the-first-half-of-2024-in-igaming:-results-&-trends
Reading Time: 3 minutes

Since the beginning of 2024, content aggregator and solution provider Slotegrator has been analyzing case studies and conducting careful research. Why did the company choose this development path? What results have been achieved, and what can be expected in the future? It’s time to take a look at how 2024 is going — and maybe get a sneak peek at 2025.

Since the beginning of the year, Slotegrator has continued to actively present its new and updated solutions, like the company’s turnkey online casino platform and its key modules, including the KYC, BI, and Casino Builder modules, alongside many others. These modules are strategically designed to streamline online casino management, covering tasks like analyzing big data, assessing risks, and enhancing platform performance.

The modules have proven to be very effective, partially because they satisfy clients’ concrete needs. The primary sources of inspiration for these cutting-edge innovations are the company’s internal research and case studies of successful clients.

According to Slotegrator’s internal research, clients reported that the integration of these updates came at just the right time. Customers particularly valued the revamped player segmentation module, offering customization options and personalized marketing options, and a renewed anti-fraud module that utilizes a color-coded risk scale that allows operators to set risk levels.

“This feedback from our customers is a great foundation for Slotegrator’s future report on future iGaming trends in 2025. We’re constantly collecting and updating information on new technologies, game types, payment methods and player behavior, and honest feedback on the new features of upgrades helps us understand the direction of our future development,” comments Yana Khaidukova, managing director at Slotegrator.

Innovation is key to keeping up with the fast-paced iGaming industry. In 2024, the Slotegrator team is focused on enhancing product quality and publishing insightful case studies to better demonstrate the capabilities of its products. So far, Slotegrator has published multiple case studies analyzing its clients’ success. Here are the two latest examples:

When it comes to modern iGaming trends, many of them haven’t changed — we should expect to see more VR integration in esports, AI, blockchain, and cryptocurrency adoption. Also, mobile-first gameplay will be a new standard. The Slotegrator team has also noted an increasing emphasis on responsible gaming throughout the iGaming industry. Slotegrator keeps all of these in mind when entering attractive markets with new partners — especially those in Latin America and Asia.

What about licenses? Slotegrator recommends keeping up to date with licensing conditions. Among the most promising jurisdictions are:

  • Kahnawake
  • The Isle of Man.
  • Anjouan

Faruk Aydin, Chief Revenue Officer of Revpanda, a Slotegrator’s media partner, adds to the list of trends some points about promotion on the iGaming industry: “Within the first half of 2024, we’ve seen that human-written content has made a great comeback, thanks to Google’s recent core update. It has started to remove AI-written shallow content across the entire SERPs, and the SEO community expects this trend to continue. Overall, we can say that the first half of the year strongly demonstrates Google’s effort to fill the SERPs with high-quality, engaging, local, and relevant content, avoiding fluff and providing the most useful resources to people.”

William Sarto, PR & Marketing specialist at CasinoRIX or CasinoRIX team, comments:

“In recent months, Google has undergone several significant changes due to a major update that started in March and ended in April. Then, at the beginning of May, they launched another big update. We’ve already seen many affiliate sites affected by this, particularly those that overused AI-generated content. AI has become mainstream, so it’s important to integrate it into processes based on thorough market analysis and real statistical data.

Moreover, there’s a clear trend towards creating projects that offer additional value for players and partners. It’s crucial to build a brand, not just a network of sites, and to add values into what you create while striving to meet customer needs. We fully agree with the earlier comments that in-depth analysis and staying in tune with trends will lead to success and growth. As we can see, all major and well-known projects are steadily growing with these updates.”
