Huya Becomes Chinese Broadcast Partner of LCS and LEC
Huya has become the exclusive Chinese broadcast partner of LCS and LEC.
Huya is already the exclusive broadcast distribution partner in China for the LCK and the only platform showcasing all four major leagues in China. Huya also recently partnered with Team Liquid to broadcast its player livestreams from North America and Europe to viewers in China.
“After our most successful LEC season yet, we’re looking forward to offering fans more of the kind of innovation and entertainment that our European League is known for,” Alban Dechelotte, Head of Business Development and Sponsorships for EU Esports, Riot Games, said.
“Our partnership with Huya means that it’s even easier for fans worldwide to follow the LEC teams and pros that captivated them at the World Championships,” Alban Dechelotte added.
“The LCS is evolving faster than ever in 2020, and it’s the best time for fans in China and worldwide to tune in and see what North America has to offer in pro League of Legends. We’re excited about our new Monday Night League broadcast with weekly marquee matches and other upgrades for this year, and Huya is the ideal streaming partner to help us tell the dynamic LCS story in China,” Matthew Archambault, head of partnerships and business development, LCS, said.

In this year, Huya has garnered the exclusive broadcaster rights to LEC and LCS, and a 3-year exclusive broadcaster rights to LCK from 2020 to 2022. The agreement brought Huya and Riot Games into an unprecedented level of cooperation. We wish League of Legends fans could get the best viewing experience in Huya, the highly engaged and interactive game live streaming community, and look forward to more cooperation with Riot Games in the next few years,” Huya spokesperson said.

The global esports organization GIANTX is ready to kick off its journey in the League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC), Europe’s premier esports competition. With a revamped roster and a clear goal of qualifying for the 2025 Worlds in China, the team begins its campaign this Saturday with a challenging schedule.
Led by renowned coach André Guilhoto, the roster features Lot (toplaner), Closer (jungler), Jackies (midlaner), Noah (AD carry), and Jun (support). Jackies, the 2024 Rookie of the Year, returns as the only player from last year’s roster. Lot, a standout in the LFL, joins as a promising top laner. Closer, a three-time Worlds participant and North American champion, brings leadership and experience. Meanwhile, Noah and Jun, from Fnatic, aim to establish themselves as one of the best bot lanes in the LEC.
GIANTX continues to rely on advanced data analytics and statistics in building its roster. “We believe in this roster. It’s a mix of hungry, talented players and experienced individuals. This team has the potential to be a strong contender in the LEC,” said David Alonso, GIANTX’s head of esports.
The journey begins on January 18 against SK Gaming (7:30 PM), followed by Rogue (Sunday, 6:45 PM) and Karmine Corp (Monday, 9:00 PM). In the second week, GIANTX will face Movistar KOI, Team Heretics, and G2 Esports, closing the regular phase against Fnatic, BDS, and Vitality. With a demanding schedule ahead, GIANTX is set to prove it is ready to compete at the highest level.

Leading esports club Team Vitality is excited to announce VALORANT pro-player and content creator Ardis “ardiis” Svarenieks as its newest ambassador.
The Latvian-British player joins from Natus Vincere, and he is renowned for being the first Latvian player to win a VCT Masters event at the Masters Copenhagen 2022.

- In his new role as ambassador, ardiis will be creating engaging content for the club’s 13 million strong global fanbase, as well as providing live commentary for all of the organization’s competitive matches across VALORANT on his Twitch channel. He boasts over 258k followers across social media platforms.
- Ardiis joins from Natus Vincere, where he competed in the Valorant competitive circuit. He also previously competed for American org NRG, Team Heretics and G2 Esports throughout his career.
- Team Vitality’s other ambassadors include one of the biggest Rocket League French Content Creator & Casters, Florian “FuuRy” Marquis, referred to as “Cast God” for his speed on the mic.
- The move further positions the French club as one of the most formidable teams in the space, following entering the titles competitive circuit in 2021, the organizations VALORANT rosters have gone on to win the VALORANT Open Tour: France Finals in 2021 as well top three places in VRL 2022: Finals, Convergence 2023 and VCT 2024: EMEA Stage 2.
